I also have the second one, but I haven't really played it at all-yet. I was so excited that you could have three-but they are really disappointing, and feel like an afterthought, especially with how interesting all the other characters are. Rune Factory 4 adds new romance options, the ability to select a male or female character at the game’s start, and has endless crafting, farming and cooking opportunities. The only thing that could really be improved is the kids. I bought it, and then actually played through the entire main storyline without being distracted by another game or something, which doesn't happen too often for me.

The mechanics, story, and characters are all so fantastic. Although I absolutely love RF4, 3 will always be my favorite. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons farming sim games have found incredible popularity in recent years, reigniting the genre.

I didn't get into the series until I got RF3. Player Characters and Family Lest (JP: Rest) The male protagonist. I also had Frontier for the Wii, but never got very far in it because the load times were so long (the music, graphics and basically everything else about it was fantastic tho, so I should really give it another try someday!
